As a giftFor the one who never sits down. An order to, gently.

Doing nothing is not the same as doing nothing useful. Resting is doing something.

A reminder worth having on the day you least believe it.

The front reads: "resting is doing something." under a crescent moon and stars, with "PROGRESS: UNMEASURABLE" below. Cream and terracotta ink on Black, Dark Heather or Military Green.

Good for: the nap you were going to feel bad about · proper days off · anyone who needs permission to sit down.

Printed for you when you order. Ships from one of our print partner's facilities. If anything turns up with a print fault, send us a photo within 30 days and we remake it.

Hoodie or crewneck

The only question worth answering first.

They are the same idea in two shapes. One has a hood and a pocket and swallows you. This one does not, and that is the point: it goes under a coat, sits flat at the neck, and reads as a sweater rather than as loungewear.

Out of the house, layering, the office you tolerate

If you are buying for someone else and cannot decide, the crewneck is the safer gift. It fits more bodies, works in more rooms, and nobody has ever taken a hood off a sweatshirt and wished it were back.

What it is made of

Heavy blend fleece, not the thin stuff.

8 oz, 50/50 cotton and polyester, brushed on the inside. Half cotton so it is soft and does not sweat you out, half polyester so the shoulders still sit where they should after a year.

No pocket is a fabric decision as much as a style one. A kangaroo pocket pulls the front panel out of shape over time, and anything printed across it eventually bends with it. A flat front keeps the print flat.

Fit and size

It goes to 5XL, and the chart goes with it.

Most shops stop at 2XL and let you guess above it. The chart below is the real garment-flat measurement at every size we sell. Measure a sweatshirt you already own, flat, armpit to armpit, and match the chest number. Between two sizes, take the larger.

This is a classic cut, so at the same letter it sits closer to the body than our hoodies do. If you want room, take one size up. Manufacturer measurements vary by about half an inch.

Please measure before you order. Each one is printed for you after you buy it, so a wrong size cannot be returned. Print faults always can. Full size guide.

The print

Flat front, flat print, nothing to catch on.

Water-based ink pressed into the fleece rather than a vinyl layer sitting on top of it. You cannot feel an edge with a fingernail, and there is nothing to peel.

Front centre, twelve inches across, top of the design three inches below the collar.

How to wash it

  • 1Inside out
  • 2Cold, gentle cycle
  • 3Hang dry, or tumble low
  • 4Never iron the print

Heat is what cracks prints, not time. A hot dryer will do more damage in one cycle than a year of cold washes.

Reviews

No reviews yet. We are not going to invent any.

This shop opened recently and nobody has written about this piece yet. We could fill this space with five made-up names and five stars. Plenty of shops do. We would rather show you an empty shelf than lie on a page about being kind to yourself.

When real reviews arrive they will appear here, the good ones and the bad ones, and we will not be editing the second kind out.

What we will stand behind today
  • If the print is cracked, faded, off-centre or the wrong design, we remake it.
  • If it arrives damaged, we remake it. No photograph of a returns label required.
  • If the wrong item turns up, we send the right one and you keep the wrong one.
  • Thirty days from delivery, and you never post anything back.
The one thing we cannot do is take back a piece that fits differently to how you hoped, because it was printed for you. That is why the measurements above are the real ones.
Before you buy

The questions people actually ask.

Is this warmer or cooler than the hoodie?

Slightly cooler, and much easier to layer. Half an ounce less fabric and no hood means less trapped heat around the neck. Under a coat it is the better of the two; sitting at home in January the hoodie wins.

Does it shrink?

Barely, if you keep it out of a hot dryer. It is half polyester, which is the half that refuses to shrink. Wash cold, dry low or hang it, and it stays the size you bought.

I am between sizes. Up or down?

Up. This is a classic cut rather than an oversized one, so the larger size gives you the relaxed look most people are picturing. Sizing down gets snug quickly across the chest.

How long until it arrives?

Two to five business days to print, then shipping from our print partner. Country by country timings on the shipping page.

Can I return it if it does not fit?

No. It is made after you order it, so there is no stock to send it back to, and we would rather tell you that here than in the small print. A print fault, damage or the wrong item is always remade inside thirty days.

Will people at work read anything into it?

No. Nothing we print names a condition. It is written to make sense to the person wearing it and to look like an ordinary nice sweatshirt to everyone else, which is exactly the point.
